We’re happy to announce an update to SimpleKDS, version 1.1 (27) has been released on the Google Play Store!
In this release we’ve added a new much requested feature, the ability to have Orders that have already been completed from the KDS be re-opened again if on the POS additions are made to it afterwards. To enable this functionality, go to the Device Settings panel and enable “Allow closed Orders to be re-opened by the POS”.
When an Order that has already been completed in SimpleKDS is re-opened from the POS, you will be able to identify them on the KDS as they will be shaded in an orange hue so you can easily identify that the Order has been re-opened. The card in the view will display all items in the Order, so kitchen staff will need to play close attention to make sure they don’t re-process items they may have already previously delivered for the Order.
